Racing on Tuesday will be held as scheduled, subject to the following modifications.
Start times for A and B fleet will remain at 6:00pm and 6:05pm respectively. Start time for P
fleet will be moved to last and will be at 6:10pm. This means the first warning will be at
5.55PM, after a brief heads-up call. All times will be based on GPS time. Mistral will be running
the start sequence, and will attempt to make hails for these sequences on the water and by
VHF on Channel 71. There will not be any flag signals for these starts. The start line will be
between SS to port and a floating mark (probably a fender) to starboard. Mistral will be on
station for the A and B start to observe over-early boats and will attempt to hail over early
boats on VHF71 (do NOT be over early). Note that the start line is between the two floating
marks – Mistral is not part of the start line. For the P fleet, Mistral will also be starting but will
be calling over early boats from on the water (do NOT be over early).
Boats shall take their own finish time as no RC boat will be on station to take finishes. Finish
times should be based on GPS time, as per the SI. Note that, as per the SI, a boat will not have
finished until it has rounded the breakwater. Finish times should be emailed to Michael
McKinsey, along with the name of any boat finishing just ahead or behind. Boats not reporting
a time will not be scored for this race. No check-in is required for this race – though Mistral will
be maintaining a radio watch on VHF71 if assistance is required.
