1. Don't hit anything!
2. Stay inside the Entrance Channel No-Sail buoys.
3. If you break a sailing rule, do your penalty turn!
4. No Spinnakers inside the Marina.
5. Have Fun!
Check-in: Boats intending to race are asked to check in on VHF Channel 71 before 17:50
The starting sequence will be 3 minutes with sound signals made ofer the radio by the Race Committee boat at each minute. A Wake-up call will be made at 17:54, after which boats should stay clear of the starting area until the Warning signal for their class has been made.
Start Times:
Cruising B will start at 5:58 PM.
Cruising A will start at 6:01 PM.
PHRF will start at 6:04 PM.
Start and Finish at the B Buoy/Double Posts.
Course for all classes.
This is a slalom course.
Please pay close attention.
After the start take the remaining main channel buoys on alternating sides of your boat.
After the start take the first buoy to port, the second to starboard, third to port, etc. until the last buoy off the Coast Guard station. No spinnakers in the Marina.
Then tack out the entrance channel keeping between the no sail buoys.
There is a buoy close to the breakwater in the center of the entrance channel.
Take it to port and return down the entrance channel, again keeping between the no sail buoys.
Take the first (Coast Guard) buoy to port and then the remaining buoys on alternate sides of your boat.
Go all the way to the A buoy and after rounding it go to the B buoy/two posts finish line (an upwind finish).
Finishing: At approximately 30 seconds before your finish, announce "Your-Boat-Name approaching" on VHF Channel 71. If the Race
Boats that intend to retire before finishing should inform the Race Committee on VHF Channel 71.
Record your time and proximity to other boats, in case the committee boat didn't hear you. If your time is not acknowledged by the committee or reported by midnight of race day will be marked as DNF
