EDIT: Results are final as of 9:43 on September 1, 2017 - I had left over spin adjustments from the first race of last series in PHRF - I believe they are gone now and ratings should be correct (there is no longer any adjustments in PHRF I had the base ratings incorrect because they had been adjusted for the first race last series). Did not make any changes in A or B fleet in this revision.
We had light wind, I believe we had 21 boats out total. Most made it around with the shortened course finishing at the extension to the south side of the detached breakwall.
There was some confusion with the course for B class, the RC announced that G and J are rounding marks (keep to port). This requires each boat in B class to round J rather than just keep it to port on the way to G. This was the intention of the RC to have us round J, the course is quite dynamic with the classes all criss crossing each other, so keep a good watch out and enjoy the variety in courses. I believe everyone in the B class sailed this course as intended (rounded J and G to port).
I think I have the all of the times now, but we had many corrections and adjustments so please double check your time. RC seemed to have some radio problems during part of the course getting finish times, I think the break wall might have been between them and the finishers trying to mark. If there is anyone who may be interested in recording times as well, we might benefit from having two different boats taking down the times as people mark (especially if there is no confirmation from the RC). Sorry for the delays in getting the results out we had a lot of information to gather this week.
Thanks to Sundance for all the work as RC for series 6!
I wanted to mention again the free and quite useful program RaceQs. If you turn a RaceQ track on, you can get your exact time as well as see the other boats that have their trackers on in in a 3d replay of the race. We usually track our races, and it is a great tool. I will include a link at the bottom of this post.
